Holly is the chief executive officer of CivicSalon, LLC - a consultancy that focuses on civic engagement and community building projects that work to reimagine, document and demonstrate urban ethical redevelopment strategies.  Holly is especially interested in the ways a “just city” is imagined and what role anchor institutions play in impacting systemic change in equity work.

Part of her current consultant work occurs in the greater St.Louis area where she is working with leaders from the private, public, higher education, philanthropic and community based sectors to develop a cross sector economic justice community development strategy using a race equity lens.

Holly teaches as adjunct faculty at Roger Williams University in their Masters of Community Development Graduate Program.  She received her doctorate from the University of Pennsylvania where her research focused on colleges and universities as anchor institutions in urban areas.  She holds a masters degree in city planning from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and is an alumnus of Auburn and Tuskegee Universities.
